Rare Remington model 1875
'Egyptian Contract' centre fire revolver. Manufactured as a direct
competitor to the Colt .44 model 1874, a number of these were sold under
contract to the Egyptian Army in the now obsolete .44 Remington
cartridge. This example is in full working order with a very good bore.
There is some external pitting and the gun has been refinished but it is
a good example of a now quite rare revolver. Ones in slightly better
condition than this one are now fetching over £2500 |
