A late 19th century J V Needham 12 bore double trigger boxlock ejector, serial number 28157, in good condition for it's age. 30" browned Damascus twist barrels, featuring the Greener self acting ejector*, with 2.5" chambers and bored at 3/8 & full choke. Nicely engraved boxlock with makers name in banner to both sides. Figured walnut 14 3/16" straight hand stock with distinctive Greener manual safety catch to the left hand side. * J V Needham patented the self acting ejector in 1874. W W Greener bought Needham in 1874 in order to obtain the patent. The J V Needham factory continued to produce their own guns until it closed in 1884. THIS GUN IS LOCATED IN OUR KENT GUNROOM |
