Very nice (and rare) genuine boxlock non-ejector ‘Live Pigeon’ shotgun made by Charles Boswell in 1913. 30” Nitro proofed barrels (re-proved at .740” in 1979), the breech end engraved with a pigeon. Broad raised, file cut top rib, tubes signed ‘Charles Boswell maker, 26 The Strand, London’ (min wall thicknesses 26 and 25 thou). 2¾” chambers, bored approx. ½ and full choke. Large frame treble-grip action with side-clips, automatic safety, beaded border and scroll engraving. Figured 14¼” semi pistol grip stock, sadly marred by a poorly repaired crack at the wrist (as shown in the photos). Comes in a good Charles Boswell oak and leather motoring case with some accessories. Weight 7lb. 11oz. |

Very good quality reproduction by Pietta of an English 12 bore double barrel muzzle loading shotgun. 28" blued barrels with very good bores. Nicely engraved and colour case hardened lock-plates and hammers. Brass mounted wooden ramrod. The shotgun is in good condition throughout. Blackpowder proof.
